Editorial Board Guidelines


Requirements for members of the editorial board


The Editorial Board consists of scholars, scientists, and researchers who are experts in the subject area covered by our academic journal.

Considering that Publication is registered in Ukraine, all members of Editorial Board once a year must complete a questionnaire to stay in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

If any of the members are not compliant with the above requirements or do not actively participate in Editorial Board activities, such member may be removed or replaced.

Editor-in-Chief Responsibilities


The editor-in-Chief is a subject-matter expert in research covered by the academic journal. His/her key responsibility is to decide which of submitted articles should be published by the academic journal. The Chief Editor ensures compliance with COPE Core practices by all parties of the publication. His/her responsibilities include but not limited to following:

  • Participate in initial qualification process, editing articles for accuracy, grammar, and style;
  • Establish editorial policy, defining the aims and scope, and approve Publication procedures and policies;
  • To ensure only high-quality content is accepted for publication;
  • Analyze published papers to determine strategic direction for this academic journal;
  • Representation of this Publication at all levels to maintain high image;
  • Communicate and consult authors and other participants on Publication policies and procedures, COPE requirements, as well as resolving any non-compliance issues;
  • ensure that reviewers provide constructive and ethical feedback and bring it to the attention of the author;
  • Attracting new authors to Publication;
  • Appoint editorial board members and Deputy Chief Editor.

Managing Editor Responsibilities


Managing Editor may have similar responsibility to an Editor-in-Chief, except for appointing editorial board members. This status helps avoid conflict of interest that may arise in connection with submitted papers, resolve questionable situations, as well as relieve editor-in-chief. Managing Editor should meet the following criteria:

  • Have no personal or financial ties with the editor-in-chief;
  • In case of conflict of interest exist between author(s) and editor-in-chief, act independent according to Publication standards and policies and COPE guidelines.

Editorial Board Members


An Editorial Board member could be brought to provide their expert opinion on accepting academic research for publishing, and invited to review. Also, members have the following responsibilities:

  • Present Publication at various levels to improve its image;
  • Solicit and attract new authors;
  • Provide suggestions on process improvement.
