Article Processing Charge

We provide full open access to all research materials published by us. This allows users to freely access, view, redistribute and re-use the published content. Therefore, we collect Article Processing Charge (APC) to pay for all necessary editorial process expenses. The fee is 2 dollars US per 1 page of a manuscript created according to our requirements.

For Ukrainian residents the fee shall be in the UAH equivalent of USD. The fee in USD equivalent is fixed, however the amount payable in UAH may fluctuate and will be based on the official USD / UAH rate of the National Bank of Ukraine on the business day of the invoice’s issuance.

The APC is payable after acceptance of the article and prior to publication. We will issue an invoice that may be paid by the author or the third party.

We ask to make the payment timely to avoid any delays. Please note that the article will be released for publishing only after the payment is fully processed. If payment is delayed, the editorial office reserves the right to hold or delay publishing. If payment is not received within 30 days of the invoice the article will be removed from publishing.

Payment of this fee (full or discounted) has no bearing on editorial acceptance decision nor the time it takes for the article to move through editorial process.

Discounts

If the affiliation of the majority of the authors of the article is related to the official partners of the Publisher, the APC will be reduced in accordance with the terms of the cooperation agreement concluded between the partners. Structure of the APC

We follow the Plan S Price Transparency Framework principles developed by "cOAlition S". Please find below how collected fees are allocated:

▪ technical maintenance – updating tools and platforms and their maintenance;

▪editorial process – ensuring completion of all stages of the editorial process - from submission to publication of the article, including any subsequent indexing and archiving;

▪general administrating – transactions related to accounting, legal services and taxes;

▪ implementation of innovations – implementation of innovative developments and technological solutions.

Take note! The APC does not include the production and sending of the printed issue to the author.

To obtain a printed copy, please contact the editorial office (e-mail: sed@ieu.edu.ua). The cost of printing one copy is specified in the editorial office when ordering. The cost of forwarding is paid by the recipient according to the rates of postal operators.

Payment Terms and Conditions

Payments can be made:

▪ with your debit / credit card;

▪ through a bank based on issued invoice.

Payment can be made by a third party. Please make sure that the author’s name is included with your payment to avoid unnecessary delays and confusion.

Refunds Policy

Refunds are rare and offered only based on valid reasons that make it impossible to publish the article after completion of the editorial process.

APC is not refundable after article is published or in one of the following circumstances:

▪ withdrawal of an article;

▪ retraction or correction of an article by the Editorial Board of the SED;

▪ force majeure circumstances beyond the control of the parties;

▪ presence or absence of the article on third-party platforms.
