Abstract

The aim of the article is to develop approaches to identifying the content of sustainable financing, systematizing its components, types and forms. It is necessary to eliminate terminological inconsistencies in the application of the relevant conceptual framework. The article examines the role of green finance in mitigating the environmental burden and its importance for ensuring the sustainable development of modern society, based on empirical evidence and political consequences for the components of national economies. The article discusses the content of various types of financing in the sustainable development economy– low-carbon, climatic, ecological, socio-environmental, green and sustainable. The result of the research is the author's interpretation of the relationship between the financing types in the sustainable development economy, which, unlike the existing ones, demonstrates the correlation and dependencies between them, taking into account both the sustainable development factors and the financial system levels with their inherent sources of financing and financial instruments. It is substantiated that to understand the system of sustainable development financing, it is important to perceive all types of appropriate financing as a kind of impact investments aimed at achieving a set of positive environmental and social effects.
